Who is eligible to take these and are they acceptable?

Right off the bat, we can do almost all NON-driving related, alcohol and drug related issue or offense, (this is known as a Non-DUI evaluation.)  Most of what we do is for residents with an out of state issue.

We do not do driving related evaluations or assessments for the states of North Carolina and Illinois, because we do Illinois evaluations live in-house and NC has a state run electronic filing system.  We could do them, but they will make you pay extra to have them electronically filed, so this is not cost effective for you.  We also do not do NY or NJ or WA unless you live out of state.

Other than that, the very first thing we tell all our customers to do who are seeking an Evaluation or Assessment (for DUI / DWI or OWI) is to READ YOUR PAPERWORK.  If your county tells you that you need to use their Service Providers, then you need to do this.  If they tell you that you can pick any Service Provider, then you may use us or any reputable and appropriately credentialed or licensed agency certified to do Alcohol and Drug evaluations and assessments, including separate credentialing for DUI / DWI / or OWI cases.

What if this is for a 2nd DUI?

(For DUI / DWI / OWI etc., We mainly work with 1st time offenders, however if this is a 2nd offense, you only have the option of a tele-conference or live video evaluation.(and we suggest you ask the party requesting the evaluation if a live video evaluation is permissible.  (If you have had 3 or more offenses for an alcohol or drug, driving related incident, we require an in-house, face to face evaluation and substance screening / testing. This is only available in our Illinois or Texas offices.  We may be able to refer you to another agency depending on your location.  (we cannot guarantee their pricing or speed of service.)

This is the latest technology used for correctional facilities, out of state and for rural communities.  If unsure ask your probation officer, case manager or attorney if a live video - evaluation is permissible and you would need either a mobile phone with video capability or on your PC at home using Skype and a web cam.

How can I know for sure my court will accept this?
If this is not a driving related offense, it should be acceptable?  If this is for DUI / DWI / OWI and you are unsure, ask your probation officer, case manager or attorney if a tele-conference (for 1st offense) or live video - evaluation (for a 2nd offense) is permissible.  It's that simple.  When in doubt, ask.  We always fully guarantee our services.

EVALUATIONS & ASSESSMENTS

ANGER MANAGEMENT

How long with this take me?

This is the same program we use in our live classroom, however anytime you take a course on line and there are not other students and lots of questions, you will complete it quicker.  We do not want you to rush through this course to receive the maximum benefits of what it has to offer.

There are not many questions to answer, so if there is a time crunch than you will be able to complete this full day course in less than 4 hrs., but again please do not rush.  You can take your time and work at your own pace, while practicing the techniques and strategies outlined in this program.  Once you start the actual quiz, you cannot stop until it is completed.  It takes a minimum 30 days to change a habit and anger management is no exception.

How soon before I get the results of my pass or fail and receive my certificate of completion for court?

You can take the quiz as many times as necessary, but most pass the first time.  You receive the results immediately after you complete the quiz and can print and/or download the certificate immediately to bring, fax or email to the requesting party.  We can also send this for you at no extra charge.

What if I had another DUI / DWI / OWI, but it was over 10 years ago?

That is a question you would have to ask the county court of your last intoxicated driving violation. This is called a "statute of limitations" and it can vary from state to state and even county to county. For example, when you are dealing with a DUI every court house uses what is known as a "court purposes driving abstract or similar".  This shows them how many you have had inclusive of other states.  If an evaluation does not match there records concerning the number of DUI / DWI or OWI's they will not accept the evaluation.  So if they tell you that you do not have to use one that has exceeded the "statute of limitations" then you have to sign a statement regarding this with proof, as we do not refund for any evaluations or assessments that were rejected due to false information.  (Note: Just because you cannot find this info in public records, you can be sure the judge will have everything.) So find out the "statute of limitations" in the county you are dealing with, if this is of concern to you.
